Understanding the difference between discipline and punishment is knowing the difference between effective and ineffective parenting.  e- Parent Coach has categories under Additional Information that are designed to help you understand some special aspects of parenting.  Discipline and Punishment is one of those subjects. 
 

e- Parent Coach is focused on helping you effectively discipline your children with the most effective results.  This effects such issues as how to deal effectively with a temper tantrum.  Parenting that is punitive will just intensify the temper tantrum.  Effective discipline will tend to decrease the time of a temper tantrum, the intensity of a temper tantrum, and hopefully, end their manipulative use.
